You mean where they cut off a head and freeze everything in those long tubes??? No, I don’t believe it works at all. There is no way they can bring someone back ala Frankenstein.

No person that has ever been frozen will ever be revived. The freezing causes irreparable cell damage.

No. When you freeze flesh the cells explode and aren’t repairable. The Science of Cryogenics hasn’t evolved enough yet, if ever.

I do believe it works but I wouldn’t choose to be frozen coz everyone dies for a reason and while the body might be awakened in 2980, the soul isn’t there anymore.

I am not sure, cryonics is still new and we still have alot to learn, but there are people out there willing to pay $60,000 to have their head frozen, and $250,000 for their entire body, I think that I would rather rest in the ground with the rest of my family that have passed on. =)

“Cryogenics” is low temperature physics and is used every day by cryogenic gas companies and scientists.
Cryonics is an ongoing medical experiment. To correct the first answerer: the “freezing” does not occur…rather, patient are vitrified which bypasses the freezing process. While similar in the application of cold, freezing causes ice to expand and crystals to destroy cell walls. Vitrification (colloquially referred to as “flash freezing”) is so quick that such damage does not occur. Sheep brains flash frozen and thawed in the 60’s without all of our modern drugs and perfusion techniques showed SPONTANEOUS resumption of near normal brainwave activity (EEG) upon thawing. For over 40 years cryonics has shown viability; it is a matter of continually improving techniques and advancing brain repair science before it is viable.
