F no…you could freeze yourself and then who knows what you’d wake up to. What if you you were unfrozen at a time when all human were extinct and goblin monsters ruled the earth and they ate you as soon as you thawed?? I say just live the life you have now happily- because a frozen future could be even worse

I wouldn’t want to be frozen since there’s not that many years left in me. The following reflects my reasons for not being kept under ice.?

    1. Learn how to use and operate modes of communication, travel or kitchen works.
    2. Worse yet, not to be able to see friends and family.
    3. Language would be changed.
    4. Human decency will not prevail.
    5. It will be a “me” and “me” society.
    6. The aged and ugly will be housed in a facility as not to be a societal blemish.
    7. The rich will have a couple clones for body parts to extend their lives. They wouldn’t trust anyone so this is a way to keep an eye on their finances.

I don’t even want to be revived if the worst happens - happy to go when my number is up and move on to the next adventure!

    NO NO NO …….
    done my time here
    bring on the next games!

no not in the slightest …..

we are MEANT to only be on this earth ( in THIS body at least) only once..
we are meant to grow old and wrinkly ( happily doing that I have better things to spend my money on rather than my vanity)
we are meant to die ..
and .. give back to nature JUST a fraction of what we took out .. Not go into the deep freeze and defrosted down the track.

Oh my, I couldn’t bear it.

A brain freeze is bad enough when I gobble up a slush or ice cream. lol.

No. I have enough trouble getting myself moving and out of bed after 6 to 8 hours sleep. It would be really bad after 100 years of frozen sleep.

    No way!!!
When my time is up I will not be greedy I just want to
    go in love.

The only reason I would want to ‘come back’ is to see if my Grandchildren were okay.

  9. oldfathen on July 12th, 2008 4:53 pm

No - I can’t imagine what body tissue would do, if frozen. I imagine it would be similar to a frozen banana and how it all falls apart when defrosting. But even if it were possible, I wouldn’t want to. My life is here and now and I hope to live it as meant.

    Absolutely not!
When I was working as an embalmer in Australia, I had the opportunity to be involved in the preparation of remains for the cryogenic program. The process was extensive and very detailed and it cost the family an outrageous amount of money.
Throughout the entire process, as fascinating as it was, I just kept shaking my head!!………sorry people, but I don’t believe for one minute that any of those hopeful people are going to get a second chance at life! We get one kick at this cat called life so make sure you do it right the first time!

Not really. I believe in reincarnation and you dont have to be frozen for it to happen.

No ..read story once where a guy with a million pounds in the bank was frozen for 100 years. On being thawed out he fancied an ice cream cone and found he would need another million to pay for it.

  14. Gladys on July 26th, 2008 5:44 pm

LOL . . . have you ever been in Northern Wisconsin in January? Been there, done that!

Seriously, I would not want to participate. I’d be afraid of what kind of world I might wake up to!

  15. ?Shortstuff? on July 31st, 2008 10:31 pm

I’ve been frozen many times when living in Ohio & enduring all of those brutal winters for so many years. I got off track for a minute. Now, what was the question?

**puppysyndrome…Gee, how do we rate? We both got a “thumb’s down” for expressing our thoughts.

  16. goldwing on August 4th, 2008 1:41 am

Yes, I would. I think it would be fascinating to see where the race had gone, what it has come up with, etc. I would be lost, that is for sure, but I suspect I would be up to par within a short time. Regardless of my spiritual beliefs, I think that awakening at a later date would be a real eye opener (pardon the pun….couldn’t help myself :-) Can you imagine having been on ice in 1890 and awakening today? I can. I am going to assume that advances in medicine were available to get rid of the pains of today…from what I read, 200 year life spans are just around the corner! Goldwing

  17. Jackie Blue on August 7th, 2008 1:24 pm

No, I believe in the natural process of life and death, well, with the exception of an epidural!! lol

  18. Maja on August 8th, 2008 9:02 pm

You do ask intriguing questions! Sometimes I have no answer and this is one of those times. I just don’t know.

  19. Havas nana on August 13th, 2008 8:59 am

No thanks. That is not part of Gods plan for me.

  20. Rev. Laura on August 14th, 2008 5:16 am

When you were thawed, who would you know?

I would rather live my life now to the fullest with no regrets or what ifs…… there is no reason to be frozen and brought back.

  21. cjdcarolday on August 17th, 2008 11:54 am

No thanks Wick - never did like cold weather! Too many years in Chicago, right on the lake. Besides I think that G-d has other plans for me.
