Destined To Win asked:

Why ? For those who do not know what Cryogenics is, it is the freezing of the human body , and storing it . until a cure is found for what killed you. Then trying to revive the body back to life.
RO 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Neither. I am not so vain that I wish to live forever.

  2. Laptop Jesus, Old School on June 29th, 2008 7:18 am

Um, the Egyptian god offers you a chance to be a GOD. If you’re basing “what is true” on “what sounds coolest” why not vote for Horus?

  3. Warrior Poo Flinger on July 1st, 2008 10:23 pm

eternal life by letting worms and scavenger animals eat my flesh as I am reborn to this Earth to further shed my karma, or realize the unity of all things with the Universal Self, and then I’d be in Nirvana.

  4. PaulCyp on July 4th, 2008 10:57 am

Well since eternal life means living forever, and cryogenics means paying huge sums of money to preserve a dead body that will always be dead, I’ll take life.

  5. Jack on July 6th, 2008 4:12 pm

    ITT false dichotomies.

  6. Joe Citizen!! on July 9th, 2008 12:26 pm

    Jesus doesn’t offer anything.
    He’s dead, too… Just like the cryo-dudes.

  7. ckrug on July 15th, 2008 9:30 am

    I choose Jesus

  8. Soul of Wit on July 21st, 2008 12:29 am

No soul no life…..Aint gonna happen….Ever. (resurrection from cryostasis that is).

    P.S. “aint”…aint a word…(so dont quote me)

  9. john c on July 22nd, 2008 8:43 am

Life without Christ is like a donut with a hole. Man’s existence is to find fulfilment. However, as scripture puts it “The wages of sin is death”. What is the point of living again just to die? It is akin to a circle that keeps looping.

  10. tlent on July 25th, 2008 12:37 am

I don’t want my old body back. eternal life please.

  11. Strawberry on July 27th, 2008 11:57 am

I’m with Jesus all the way…His truth…His salvation…His sanctification…His baptism in the Holy Spirit…His Cross..
His way…with all my heart mind and soul…
Looking forward to Him and willing to pass this on to all who will receive Him…Amen

So sure, a hundred years from now they find a cure for the cancer that offed you.

But will they ever have a cure for being frozen solid? It causes a LOT of cell damage.

  13. chatfreak29 on August 1st, 2008 6:45 am

Eternal life with Jesus. Why would I want to stay on earth! Hahaha imagine if you were brought back to life to be killed again a day later. In heaven there will be no more death!

  14. purplewitchhazel on August 3rd, 2008 3:13 am

Cryogenics does not guarantee that a cure for whatever was killing you will be found.

There has never been any proof in the last 2000 years of the ‘eternal life’ your lord promises.

So i choose neither. One i don’t believe exists, and the other one even though scientific, has also not yet been proven.

    When i die, i die. That’s it.

  15. Dreamstuff Entity on August 4th, 2008 3:34 pm

    “guaranteed”? How?

If you’re dead, and there’s nothing, do you get your life back?

If not, it’s not guaranteed, and when you claimed it was, you lied. Doesn’t your god say something about lying?

  16. fattpill on August 5th, 2008 4:56 pm

well if you will look into your religion called science you will find that there is a VERY measureable diffence between the weight of a person when he/she dies. meaning when you die you get lighter like something leaving your body you know “soul”.(maybe/maybe not) you cant bring back the soul after God takes it.so I will take my chance with My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a fraud, who if he performed any miracle at all, was empowered of Satan the Adversary, to test the Jews and see if they understood the prophecies. Those who followed him, including Christians and the so-called “Messianic Jews” are those who failed this test and were led away from G-D.
list the hundreds of prophecies Jesus failed to fulfill.

Jesus was NOT a member of the tribe of Judah since he had no biological father (according to the Bible).

Jesus did NOT directly descend from David through Solomon, patriarchally.

Jesus did NOT gather all the Israelites and restore them to Israel.

Jesus did NOT rebuild the Temple (in fact, it FELL shortly after he allegedly died).

Jesus did NOT rule, let alone at a time of world-peace.

Jesus did NOT rule, let alone at a time all Jews everywhere kept perfect observance of the mitzvot.

Jesus did NOT rule, let alone at a time when all peoples everywhere would know and acknowledge G-D alone, and serve him in perfection.

Further, contrary to Christian claims Jesus will fulfill the prophecies at his second coming, why did he not do so? Jesus died, Jesus went elsewhere. Then Jesus returned and hung out for 40 days. As such, Christians are waiting for a THIRD coming, not second.

Worse still, there is not one single prophecy in the Old Testament that the Coming Messiah will fulfill the prophecies in multiple comings. They are quite specific that he gets one lifetime to do them, or fails the test.

Why would I want to come back here after my time? Why especially after being in a freezer for 100 years? No thanks.

  19. Sonshine on August 10th, 2008 5:50 pm

Jesus Christ is the Son of the Most High God. He is alive and is coming back for His Bride- those that love and obey Him. I want to be among those who are with Christ forever.

  20. P e a r l on August 12th, 2008 7:51 am

Jesus. even though cryogenics sounds cool.

  21. tinkerbell on August 13th, 2008 7:34 pm

Jesus can raise the dead, frozen or not so I choose eternal life, and to those of you who answered with other gods I have a msg for you as well, If Im wrong I have nothing to loose, but if you choose other gods and you are wrong YOU LOSE YOUR ETERNAL SOUL, so I will pray for you and others like you. God Bless, this was in no way intended to hurt anyones feelings, just a thought

    Hello,

All of you take a calf brain, put in in the fridge for a few months then let it thaw. When tapping on it you’ll see it turned to mush as the cells and their contents have burst.

Much as I like empirical science freezing is a definite non no and in this case I’d choose Christ.

    Cheers,

    Michael Kelly

  23. Bonnie C on August 17th, 2008 9:32 am

Neither, though cryogenics is the only real thing there. Someone’s gotta feed the worms!!!!!!!!

  24. Kreen on August 17th, 2008 1:30 pm

Not everyone is searching for eternal life. I think this fact is commonly overlooked.

  25. Grains_of_Wrath on August 18th, 2008 11:59 pm

    Why not both?
I don’t get why some Christians are against science. I mean, do you really want to go back to the Dark Ages?

  26. Slave of 12 Gods on August 19th, 2008 7:23 am

neither – just deal with reality your body gives out and you die! and then there is the jesus thing. great man in his time but now dead he isn’t going to be able to do anything either – so what are you looking for exactly if reality is not your style?

  27. Grey Tower on August 20th, 2008 8:49 pm

Jesus gets my vote! He’s already conquered death and has gone before us. Plenty eyewitness accounts to testify to his resurrection, and millions of witnesses to testify to his presence 2,000 years after the event.

Those who will be resurrected will not be brought back in the same old, tired and sick bodies they formerly had. Those who will be resurrected will be glorified, just as Jesus was glorified. His promise is what keeps me sane in an insane world.

  28. jnalt on August 23rd, 2008 2:54 am

If I listened to Pascal, I’d be a Christian AND have myself frozen.

My eternal home is with Jesus !
I believe in God, I believe also in Jesus
He has gone to prepare a place for me, because in His Father’s house are many mansions,(if it were not so He would have told me) then He will come again and receive me unto Himself, so that where He is, there I may be also.
I await the words “Welcome good and faithful servant”.
This is the treasure I seek, the passion of my life, everything to me………..

Me and my family we shall serve the Lord our God.

  33. Joy S on September 1st, 2008 4:56 pm

There is NOWAY i want to be frozen ! When I die let me be ! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord !!! i often wondered what went through Lazarus ‘ mind When Jesus called him back .I Imagine him sitting there at the banquet table with the great feast all the great prophets sitting around him one of them say welcome home Lazarus .
Another says Hey can you break me a piece of that bread? Then suddenly from somewhere someone calls out Lazarus
Come !Now I would be thinking but Jesus I like it here ! I want to stay really I do.That poor man had to die twice before he could enjoy his everlasting life ! No I ain’t gonna get frozen just so I can be called back from my eternal life in Heaven Nope not me No Way !

  34. Princess Cupcake on September 2nd, 2008 1:47 am

Jesus all the way baby! Jesus guarantees eternal life. And a great one at that! Scientists can only speculate that they MAY be able to cure and revive someone. Besides, Jesus will give me a brand new body, no pains or sorrows, just perfect in every way. I would be an idiot if I didn’t choose Jesus way.

  35. dianesumler on September 3rd, 2008 7:19 am
